Is this you? Or someone you know? If it’s not Pinterest, perhaps a video game, or social media. Do you ever notice others checking their phones at the gym?

Technology is a blessed thing and equally can take over our lives and disconnect us from the people and pets around us.

A challenge for us: next time you find yourself spending copious amounts of time on a device, finish the immediate post/page/message you are on, turn it to airplane mode and take at least a 5 minute break. A 5-10 minute break from your screen every hour is important for your brain to reset and reconnect with the environment around you.

And remember, living creatures have hearts. Computers do not.

To your health,

Starr
