#HeartHealthy Isn't Just a Hashtag: It's a Lifeline
I'll stop here on the hashtag references. I think you get the message. Healing doesn’t demand perfection. It asks for presence, patience, and the willingness to keep moving forward.
When Chip received the gift of life through a heart transplant, his physical therapist would enter the hospital room mindful of everything he had gone through leading up to that moment.
Grateful for this second chance, he was gaining strength and learning to walk again. Keep in

mind, the six-month ordeal leading up to surgery had his body weak, but willing.
To help him stand from the side of his bed, his physical therapist would gently motivate him saying, “Nose over toes, Coach.” He wanted to walk the halls, but she reminded him, "Let’s just work around your bedside.” And slowly, together, they made great strides. Remember: Healing doesn’t demand perfection. It asks for presence, patience, and the willingness to keep moving forward.
#HeartDiseasePrevention This has always been our strategy. Prevention starts with awareness, education, and action. Screenings, nutrition, movement, and stress management all play a role. Why it matters: Many cases of heart disease are preventable. This hashtag helps us shift the focus from reaction to proactive care—especially in communities that need it most.
#HeartHealthyLifestyle This is our invitation. It’s not a diet or a trend, but it’s a way of life. Why it matters: A heart-healthy lifestyle is sustainable, adaptable, and deeply personal. This hashtag helps us show that wellness is possible, and worth pursuing at any age or stage.
This is what I want everyone to know: Every path is different. Every destiny is unique. When you hear our story, it isn’t a sentence—it’s a door. An invitation to inspire you to reflect and start new.
This story is one of faith, resilience, and love. Had we not answered when adversity knocked on our door, my family and I couldn’t have fathomed the successes and contributions we continue to make in the lives of others.
The hashtag we use, #HeartHealthy, helps us celebrate progress and encourage daily habits that heal.
To Your Health, Cynthia
