Hope for the Heart—A Message

Updated: Sep 1

Last week, my organization partnered with Emory Healthcare to host a health awareness seminar titled Hope for the Heart. This event held on August 19th, was designed not just to inform but to inspire action and save lives.

I was honored to serve in this capacity and frankly, I have a testimony with a message of hope for the heart. Being invited to participate in the Mayor's Health Initiative was a meaningful opportunity to reaffirm that our organization, now fifteen years strong remains committed to promoting heart health and wellness.

Thank you to Wanda Braswell Pickett, whose steady presence reflects the heart of our mission. She too has a story of strength and profound courage to share. I am grateful for my friends, Barbara *(Austell, GA) and Asha*(Macon, GA) who continue to encourage me in many ways to keep moving forward. They all remind me that my message is being heard.

A lot happens behind the scenes to prepare for all of the events. By now, surely you know that this is my assignment--my purpose. The only reason at I keep the hours that I do and push through is

because we know that someone is listening and the organization is making a difference.

The effort is real. Like Chip Malone always said: “It’s my job to prepare them and put them in a position to win. Execution is up to them.”

I rest my case.
